Feedback From The Theatre Breaks Visitors Book
I’ve been sifting through some of the feedback from customers after returning home from theatre breaks with hotel deals, regardless of whether they travelled by coach, rail, air or self drive. My purpose was to try and get a feel for some of the many different hotels that are on offer, both central and outer London, to see if there are any which give outstanding service and value or any which really should be avoided. When people have been to see a big West End show their hearts and souls have been greatly lifted by the experience, and this euphoria can last for several days. So it’s only natural that there should be quite a few gushing reports, full of praise and thanks for everybody involved. I don’t ignore these, but I look for the little tell tale signs that one little aspect or another may have been slightly less than you might have expected, or somebody helped in a way that can only be described as above and beyond the call of duty. There’s no point in complaining, for example, that your outer London Hotel was nowhere near the West End. That is made perfectly clear at the time of booking, and is part and parcel of the nature of opting for coach theatre breaks with a transfer right to the very entrance of the theatre and back to your hotel. Similarly, if you book London theatre breaks from Birmingham by rail it can be taken as read that the journey will be fast and efficient, but it’s always nice to hear it from the travellers own voice. I’ll show you a sample from those I can republish here:

What a superb weekend we all had. The coach journey and driver was good and the hotel was wonderful, we stayed in the Ramada Jarvis hotel, the meals and rooms you could not fault at all and the staff was nice.This is the third year running we have been with you and can not fault you at all.
Ramada Jarvis Hotel
Ramada Jarvis is in fact a chain of hotels, and there are several in London including those near Gatwick and Heathrow Airports, Hyde Park, Ealing Acton and London Docklands. The one quoted at a 4 Star Hotel in Outer London, for a Saturday weekend trip is quite likely to be the one in Docklands, and you’ll have a perfectly comfortable and convenient stay there. If you get the chance, take a night time trip on the Emirates Air Line, a cable car ride high above the River Thames to Greenwich and back. It’s great fun!

I thought I must write and congratulate you on a well orchestrated weekend. Having returned last night from a trip to London to see Mamma Mia with your company – and an overnight stay at Ramada Jarvis Heathrow hotel – which was an extremely clean and pleasant hotel with excellent food. Having used Omega for weekend breaks over a number of years I certainly would recommend it to friends. The coach driver Roy is also to be congratulated, being polite, courteous and efficient – I would be grateful if you are able to pass on my thanks to him.
By now you may be starting to get an impression of how these coach tours for theatre weekends work. The hotel might be near the M25 and an airport for logistical reasons, or it might be closer in to some part of central London where the business travellers don’t need it so much for weekends. It doesn’t matter at all because you get ‘conducted’ all the way, like the strings section in the orchestra pit at your theatre where you get transported to a magical Greek Island, in the example of Mamma Mia!

Enjoyed your theatre break in London 9th/10th June. Richard the driver of coach 107 was the perfect host, how he got us around London we do not know. Margaret was a wonderful courier, and the choice of hotel, The Holiday Inn, couldn’t have been better. Seats for Les Mis were superb. Very many congratulations for job very well done.
Now here’s the thing, getting good seats for Les Miserables is always really difficult or extremely expensive, so praise for the seats allocated as part of a theatre breaks package is invaluable. The secret behind this is that the agents can book a block of good seats when they are first released, sometimes as much as 18 months in advance, so when you come to choose a show for your special weekend coming up, you can be assured of much better seats than those you would be able to source for yourself in London nearer the day. The Holiday Inn chain by the way, is one of the very best. I stayed in the Holiday Inn Beijing for a week and it was first class all the way. They have well over 50 hotels dotted about in the London area, so you could be staying in Windsor, Wimbledon, Wembley, Docklands, Stratford, Victoria, Mayfair, all sorts of places.
